How to get to the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel from Toronto Pearson International Airport

Public Transit

  • Walk from Lester B. Pearson to UP Express Pearson Airport Station (Terminal 1)
    • Cost: $12.00 per adult for UP Express
  • Take the 4112 UP Express Union Station (3 stops)
  • Walk from Union UP Express Station to Union TTC Subway Station
    • Get on Line 1 (Yonge-University) Northbound for 2 stops (Queen Station)
    • Cost: $3.25 per adult for public transit
  • Walk three minutes west along Queen Street and you will be at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel


  • Walk to the taxi stand at the airport
  • A taxi will take 30-60 minutes (depending on traffic)
  • Cost: $55 + tip
  • Credit cards are generally accepted

  • Continue on ON-427 S. Take Gardiner Expy E toLake Shore Blvd W in Toronto. Take the Lake Shore Boulevard exit from Gardiner Expy E

Travelling from Porter/ Island Airport

Public Transit

  • Walk from Porter Island Airport to Queens Quay West at Lower Spadina Ave East Side (8 minutes)
  • Take the 510 South to Spadina Ave at Richard St West (7 minutes)
  • From there take the 501 East to Queen St West at York St – Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel (9 minutes)

Taxi Cab

  • Walk to taxi stand at airport which is on the other side of the ferry terminal.
  • A taxi will take 14 minutes (depending on traffic)
  • Cost: $25-$30 + tip
  • Credit cards are generally accepted


  • Head Northwest on Eireann Quay (28 m)
  • Turn right onto Queens Quay W (1.6 km)
  • Turn left onto York Street (600 m)
  • Continue straight on York Street (700 m)
  • The Sheraton Centre Hotel Toronto will be on the right (49 m)

Visa Information

Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

Canada has introduced a new entry requirement, known as an eTA, for visa-exempt foreign nationals travelling to Canada by air. Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travelers with a valid visa. Entry requirements for other methods of travel (land, sea) have not changed.

Eligible travelers can apply online for an eTA. Travelers will need an eTA before they can board a flight to Canada.

Attendees from the USA may check entry / exit requirements to Canada outlined in the U.S. Department of State Consular Information website. Proof of citizenship must be provided.

Letter of Invitation for Visa Purposes

An official Letter of Invitation to obtain a Visa and authorization to attend the IAFS 2017 Conference will be issued ONLY after registration has been completed and full payment received by the Conference Secretariat.
